Tomato Chutney is very simple compared to many other chutneys.Tomato chutney that goes well with idli or dosa.
- 4 Tomatoes
- 1 Big onion
- 5 sticks Curry leaves
- 4 Red chillies
- 4 tsp Sesame oil
- ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp urad dal
- Curry leaves
- Heat 1tsp oil in a pan. Add big onion chopped sauté for 5 mins. Add curry leaves, red chillies sauté for a min.
- Add chopped tomatoes sauté for a mushy consistency. Cool down.
- Grind a fine paste.
- Heat 3 tsp oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds allow them to crackle and then add urad dal its turn golden brown, then add curry leaves.
- Transfer them into the chutney and mix well.
