Onion Tomato Gravy

Onion Tomato Gravy-Paneer is a simplest and easiest gravy to prepare.Onion Tomato Gravy for good and delicious side dish for chapathi.


  • Paneer(optional) Paneer
  • Green peas(optional)
  • 1 Big onion finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • ½ tsp Ginger paste
  • ¼ tsp Garlic paste
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 Cashew nut(paste)
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Cardamom
  • Oil as required


  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom and add onion sauté for till they turn light golden brown color.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for raw smell goes out.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes to sauté for mushy consistency and then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt mix well and sauté for a min.
  4. Add water and then add cashew nut paste mix well and cook for 5 mins(thick consistency).
  5. Add paneer and green peas mix well and cook for 5 mins.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Onion Tomato Masala-Paneer is ready now.

Take onion,tomatoes,cinnamon stick,cloves,cardamom,cashew nut paste,ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder,chilli powder,coriander powder,salt.



Heat oil in a pan.

Add finely chopped onion and saute for till light golden brown.



Add ginger garlic paste.



Add tomato and saute till mushy consistency.



Add turmeric powder,chilli powder,coriander powder and salt mix well and saute for a min.



Add water.



Add cashew nut paste and little bit of water mix well and cook for 5 mins.



Add paneer and green peas mix well and cook for 5 mins.



Garnish with coriander leaves.Onion Tomato Gravy is ready now.
