Mutton Coconut Fry

Mutton Coconut Fry, a tasty delicious non-vegetarian side dish.Mutton Coconut Fry is a south tamilnadu style of making meat with dry gravy and delicious coconut flavour.

Ingredients:

  • ½ lb (250 gms) Mutton small pieces(boneless)
  • 3 tsp Sesame oil
  • 5 sticks Curry leaves chopped
  • 1 tsp Fennel seed powder
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch Cloves powder
  • 1 pinch Cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • ½ tsp Garlic paste
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Red chilli powder(to taste)
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ Coconut chopped pieces

For Again :

  • 35 to 40 Small onion sliced
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds powder
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch cloves powder
  • 1 pinch cardamom powder
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add fennel seeds powder, cinnamon powder, cloves powder, cardamom powder at a time. immediately add curry leaves, ginger paste, garlic paste sauté for a min.
  2. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, sauté and add coconut chopped pieces, mutton pieces mix well and sauté for 5 mins. Water covered with water that’s a water level. cover with lid to 20 whistles. take 20 mins resting time.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. add fennel seeds powder,cardamom powder,cloves powder,cinnamon powder,add curry leaves chopped, small onion sliced, sauté till the light golden brown.
  4. Add cooked mutton with water to sauté till the water dry out.
  5. Till the mutton dry roast consistency.
  6. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.

Take Mutton,coconut pieces,fennel seeds powder, cinnamon powder,cloves powder,cardamom powder,curry leaves,chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste.

 

2nd

Heat oil in a pressure cooker.

 

3rd

Add fennel seeds powder,cinnamon powder,cloves powder,cardamom powder.

 

4th

Add curry leaves immediately.

 

5th

Add ginger garlic paste immediately mix well.

 

6th

Add chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder mix well.

 

7th

Add mutton pieces,coconut chopped.

 

8th

Add salt.

 

9th

Saute for 5 mins.

 

10th

Add water.

 

11th

Cover with the lid cook for 20 to 22 whitsle.resting time for 20 mins for cool down.

 

12th

Open the lid.

 

13th

Take small onion chopped, curry leaves, fennel seeds powder, cinnamon powder, cloves powder, cardamom powder.

 

14th

Heat oil in a pan.

 

15th

Add fennel seeds powder, cinnamon powder, cloves powder, cardamom powder.

 

16th

Immediately add curry leaves.

 

17th

Add small onion chopped immediately.

 

18th

Saute for 5 mins till they turn light golden brown color.

 

19th

Add cooked mutton and coconut pieces with water.

 

20th

Mix well and saute for till they turn dry consistency.

 

21st

Heat dosa tawa.

 

22nd

Add dry consistency mutton and spread it and keep it  low flame and cook for dry roast consistency.

 

23rd

Roast one side turn over the other side to roast.

 

24th

Done well.
