Mutton Chukka is a spicy and tempting south indian style mutton fry recipe.Mutton chukka step by step method end on this post.
Ingredient:
- 1 lb(450gms) Mutton
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- ¾ tsp (or) to taste Salt
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 2 split Green chillies
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- ½ tspGarlic paste
- 6 sticks Curry leaves
- Needed Water
- Chopped coriander leaves
To temper:
- ½ tsp Pepper powder
- 3 tsp Sesame oil
- 30 to 40 Small onion sliced
- 2 split Green chillies
- 2 sticks Curry leaves
- 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
Method:
- In a pressure cooker,add mutton pieces, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, sesame oil, green chillies, ginger paste, garlic paste, curry leaves, water fully covered mutton pieces level. leave for 22 whistles and switch off the gas. Take 20 mins resting time.
- In a pan add oil,finely chopped ginger saute well, add curry leaves, green chillies, sliced small onions, saute the onion well. and add cooked mutton pieces with water,mix well and saute.
- Water will absorbs completely. finely add a pepper powder mix well.saute for 2 mins.
- Granish with Chopped coriander leaves.

Take green chillies, curry leaves, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, salt.

Take mutton pieces.

Add mutton pieces into the pressure cooker.

Next add green chillies, curry leaves, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, salt.

Add sesame oil.

Add water cover with the lid.cook for 22 to 25 whistles.20 mins resting time to cool down.

Take small onion chopped, curry leaves, chopped ginger.

Heat the oil in a pan.

Add chopped ginger to saute for a min.

Add curry leaves.

Add chopped small onions to saute for 5 mins.

Onion turns light brown color.

Now add, cooked mutton pieces with water.cook for until becomes water absorbs completely.

Add pepper powder saute for 2mins.

Garnish with coriander leaves.
