Fish Kulambu

Fish Kulambu, is a best mouthwatering fish kulambu recipe.There are different styles of fish kulambu recipes.But this one is simple and special.

Ingredients:

  • 6-7 pieces Fish
  • Oil needed
  • A few Curry leaves
  • Lemon size Tamarind water
  • 2 Green chillies split

For Grind Powder:

  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1 tsp Pepper corns
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds

For Grind Paste:

  • 5 Garlic pods
  • 8 Small onion chopped
  • 1 large Tomato chopped
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Grind Powder
  • 1 cup Shredded coconut

Method:

  1. Heat a small pan. Add cumin seeds, pepper corns, fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds and cool down. In blender add roasted ingredients and grind a fine powder.
  2. Take garlic pods, small onion, tomato, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and shredded coconut and grind powder.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic and sauté for a min. Add small onion chopped and sauté for 2 mins. Add tomato chopped and sauté for a mashy consistency.
  4. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and grind powder and mix well for a min.
  5. Cool down and add shredded coconut and grind a fine paste.
  6. Heat oil in a pan. Add green chillies and add grind fine paste and sauté for a min.
  7. Add water, salt and tamarind water and mix well.
  8. Cover with the lid and cook for 5 mins.
  9. Add fish and cover with the lid and cook for 5 mins and flip over cook for another 5 mins.
  10. Garnish with curry leaves.
  11. Fish kulambu is ready now.

Add grind fine paste and sauté for a min.

Add water.

Add salt.

Add tamarind water and mix well.

 

16th

Cover with the lid and cook for 5 mins.

 

17th

Add fish pieces.

 

18th

Cover with the lid and cook for 5 mins and flip over cook for another 5 mins.

 

19th

Garnish with curry leaves.Fish kulambu is ready now.
